The drinks were cold, the food was high in variety and fresh. Eclectic with a feel of being in a high end marketplace. Lana Del Rey was breathing magic into the atmosphere as the background music. The long table we sat at had had us situated against a wall of antique books, blackboards and vintage tins of food.
Bazaar at QT, Surfers Paradise.
Below is a pic of the birthday girl and I.
The layout of the buffet was I'd say market/indulgent. Everything was hands on, from spreading toast with various jams, to being able to pick up fruit whole to slice yourself. The open areas of the kitchens let us watch the chefs making all the food. Chefs were willing to make upon request anything from omelets to multi-juice drinks.
Coffee was average though dear readers..2/5 lovely and wild stamps... :$ However the divine tea selection made up for it.. We very quickly started putting extra tea bags in our little gift bags to take home.. hehe.
This girl is one of the more creative of my friends. Her guestbook was a book of inspirational words and images about being happy from kikki-k.. I wrote down a poem I had written for her. Liam (bf) and I got her a 9 piece tea set for her bday from Royal Albert (Royal Doulton).
Look below at her naughty bf in the middle in the background!
Leanne's mother Gigi said the line of the day:
"We used to pray before we ate, now we reach for our phones and take photos"
The festivities ended and we ended up in the foyer where this delightful lemonade cart was set up.
